An ancient house that’ll charm you with its asymmetric stone heart walls, the grains of its woods, the nuances of baked clays already there for many centuries......

You’ll find the Locanda di Sant’Antonio Abate (Saint Anthony Abbot Inn) in the heart of the medieval village of Viverone, in a XVII-XVIII century building built around a courtyard, lovingly restored and hand crafted by its owners in a totally unconventional way. It faces directly onto the ‘Via Francigena’ connecting, since the middle ages, Vercelli, Biella and Ivrea across the hill well known as Serra Morenica di Ivrea.

The whole ground floor is at your disposal, with two double rooms sharing a large bathroom, large living room (with a Castellamonte pottery stove), kitchen, lodges, gazebo, and garden with a wonderful view of the Alps from Susa Valley to Aosta Valley.

Both the rooms have fireplaces and cedar wooden floors: one of them has a coffered ceiling in walnut wood, the other one has a lunetted vaulted ceiling (both date back to XVII-XVIII century).

Some of the furniture was hand made by the owners, employing materials from the original building (wooden planks, iron nails, barrels...)
